Jaewoo Lee

Jaewoo Lee is currently Second Trombone with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra in Kalamazoo, MI, Second Trombone with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra in South Bend, IN, and Principal Trombone with the Adrian Symphony Orchestra in Adrian, MI. He has also performed with the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra, Carmel Symphony Orchestra, Lafayette Symphony Orchestra, and Eastern Music Festival Faculty Orchestra.

Jaewoo has maintained an active lesson studio since 2020, when he began teaching online lessons to students all across the country. He has over 200 hours of trombone and euphonium (baritone) private lesson experience. In addition, he teaches music theory, ear training, and sight singing; he has hundreds of hours tutoring AP Music Theory students as well as undergraduate and graduate theory students.

Jaewoo values kindness, clear communication, and trust as an educator; he strives to get to know and build rapport and common ground with all of his students to foster comfort and positive energy during lessons and tutoring sessions. He is passionate about improving musical education and literacy, and believes that everybody benefits from exposure to new types of music.
