Jack Rinehart is a recent graduate of Hillsdale College, having receive a B.S. in Biology in the spring of 2022. In high school, he studied classical alto saxophone, but simultaneously developed skills in jazz. Jack played in the MSBOA All-State Concert Band for two years, including one first-chair distinction. He also played lead alto in the MYAF All-State Jazz Band as a senior. At Hillsdale, Jack played lead alto in the college's primary jazz band and top jazz combo for four years. Throughout the last few years, he has expanded his jazz performing experience through several professional gigs, whether it be solo, duo, or combo. Jack is happy to teach any concert band or jazz concepts beneficial to beginner and intermediate saxophone students, including fundamentals, technique, reading, theory, and improvisation.
