Elyor Gofurov is a clarinetist from Uzbekistan, Tashkent. Growing in a family of musicians he started his clarinet studies at the age of 10 under the tutelage of Professor Salihov Bakhodir. Elyor has worked as a second clarinet in The Opera and Ballet Theatre Alisher Navoi, as a principal clarinet in The National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan and as a guest artist in The Contemporary Theatre “Ilkhom.”
Elyor finished his bachelor’s degree in clarinet performance in the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan. He has his Master’s degree at Michigan State University and currently he is a doctoral student at Michigan State University.
Gofurov has won national and international competitions such as Selmer academy competition, International Festival of Creative Youth in Kazakhstan, and national competitions in Uzbekistan.
