Nolan McDermitt

Nolan McDermitt is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor's in Music Education Trumpet and French Horn Enthusiast, Music Theory Buff.


Over the course of his playing career, Nolan has had the opportunity to perform with ensembles specializing in many styles, including wind band, orchestral, jazz, marching, musical pit, small ensembles, and duets. He also has experience coaching solo material from Solo and Ensemble works through full senior recitals. Nolan is comfortable teaching theory up through the undergraduate level, having taken up through graduate level courses. Brass instruments have always been Nolan's specialty and he has taught up to advanced trumpet, intermediate horn, and advanced musical theory. He has coached the high brass sections of many southeastern Michigan band camps, conducted clinics for high school students, and taught private lessons since 2010, finally joining the staff at Marshall Music in 2017.
