Yu-Chen Lin is a distinguished cellist who has captivated audiences across North America and Taiwan with her exceptional performances. As the founder of the Novak Trio, her chamber group won third prize in the prestigious Barbara Wagner Chamber Music Competition in 2023. In 2019, Yu-Chen earned first prize at the National Taiwan Music Competition, further highlighting her remarkable talent and musical prowess.
In addition to her accomplishments as a performer, Yu-Chen is deeply committed to music education. With a decade of experience providing private lessons, five years of teaching orchestra sectionals, and her role as a graduate assistant at Michigan State University, she has proven herself to be a dedicated and effective educator. Yu-Chen is also a certified Suzuki teacher and an active member of the American String Teachers Association (ASTA).
