Kelsi Gautz

Classically trained flutist with experience in everything from Baroque to New Music! Kelsi Gautz has a Bachelor of Music degree (2010) from Bowling Green State University where she majored in Instrumental Music Education and Flute Performance.

She has been teaching with Marshall Music since 2014 and she has taught other private lessons since 2007. Her performance experience includes both large and ensemble settings. She has been Principal flute of the Monroe County Community/College Band since 2012. She was a featured soloist with this ensemble in 2009, 2011, and 2019. Before joining this group, she was principal flute with both the BGSU Wind Symphony and the Philharmonia from 2007-2010. In a chamber music setting, she performed with the Iridescent Flutes (flute trio) from 2012-2015. Aside from teaching and playing, Kelsi is also an experienced conductor. She served as the Flute Choir Director for Southeast Michigan Flute Association (SEMFA) from 2012-2015.
