Liang Zhao, Baritone, is a graduate of Wuhan Conservatory of Music. He went on to receive his Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music in New York City, under the tutelage of legendary bass-baritone, James Morris. he continues his studies in Michigan State University with full scholarship and Graduate assistance position for Doctor of Musical Arts degree.
Liang has performed on stages in America, Europe, and his native China, including a range of Bel Canto concerts in Tuscany, Italy, and the Verdi Square Festival Concert in New York City. Recent operatic roles include Vicar(Albert Herring)2022,David(a hand of Bridge)2021 ,Publio (La clemenza di Tito ), Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte), both with Manhattan School of Music Opera Theater, and the Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) at Opera America. In the 2018 season, Liang was a Young Artist at Cedar Rapids Opera Theater, covering Mandarino (Turandot), and performing Mr.Lundie (Brigadoon).
The summer of 2018 saw Liang winning a coveted position at iSING! International Artists Festival in China. Touring with the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra, Liang performed extracts from Bizet’s Carmen, along with a range of Classic Chinese repertoire, under the baton of Maestro Dane Lam. This tour comprised Liang’s solo debuts at Suzhou Grand Theatre, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Hall, and Beijing’s National Centre of the Performing Arts.The summer of 2019 Liang won the second prize of Huang Long vocal Competition in China.
