Ava Poggione

Voice, Beginning piano
Ava Poggione is a full time undergraduate student at Western Michigan University studying Choral Music Education and Vocal Performance. Ava has been playing music since childhood when she learned piano, and started playing Horn in middle school. She began singing in choir and doing musical theatre her sophomore year at Mattawan High School, and has continued ever since! At Western, Ava is a member of University Chorale, and The WMU Broncords, an extra curricular a capella group. Ava was a part of the ensemble last fall for WMU’s opera, L’eliser d’amore by Gaetano Donizetti, and will be one of the witches this coming fall in Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell. When she isn’t singing, Ava serves as the social media chair for both The WMU Broncords and Western’s ACDA chapter. During her free time, Ava likes to spend time with friends, her cat Simon, or on the couch with a good book.
