Violin
Samantha Christopher began studying violin at the age of 6. During her early years of training, she participated in Oakland Homeschool Music Inc (OHMI) Symphony Orchestra, Oakland Youth Orchestra (OYO) Symphony Orchestra, Civic Youth Ensemble (CYE) Symphony orchestra, Michigan Youth Arts Festival (MYAF), All-State Orchestra, Blue Lake Fine Arts Suzuki Family Camp and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp Chamber Music for Fun.
Over the last 12 years, Samantha has enjoyed teaching students of all ages. She primarily teaches using the Suzuki method books paired with supplemental materials. However, she is always open to exploring new material with pupils as she believes that any material that motivates a student is worthy of exploration.
In addition to teaching violin, Samantha is a certified American Sign Language Interpreter and private Alexander Technique Teacher. In her down time, she enjoys backpacking with her husband and friends, kayaking, reading, playing her ukulele and singing around a campfire, sewing, crocheting and spending time with family.
