This beginner course will cover basic ukulele techniques, chords, tuning, song accompaniment, a little music theory, and ukulele history. By the end of the first class you will even know a few songs. The first day will also focus on different types of ukuleles.

Students will work in a group environment to develop their keyboard skills along with basic theory and notation. The class will be using a method book that includes exercises as well as familiar songs. Every student will experience group instruction, individual attention, and casual performance opportunities in each session. Upon completion of the course, students will have gained the fundamental skills to make music on the piano. Students may then continue with further group courses or enroll private instruction.
