MARSHALLS EXPANDS SCHOOL SERVICE DEPARTMENT

In keeping with Marshall Music's commitment to providing the standard for school music service, we are pleased to announce the addition of, William W. Gourley, as a Senior Program Developer Executive in our school service department.

In recent years, as Michigan has seen an increase in music educator retirement and the increasing demands on instrumental music programs, we have realized the need for a resource person dedicated to assist the new music educator as well as the veteran teacher. Our goal is to enhance all aspects of instrumental music education by working cooperatively with music directors, professional music organizations and universities. Bill will be available to visit schools as a resource/mentor to provide expertise and work as a clinician in your school.

Bill Gourley comes to Marshall Music after twenty-five years as a band director and music department chair in Dundee and Chelsea Schools. He has been an active member of the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association on the district and state level, a member of the American School Band Director's Association, a conductor for the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, the founder and conductor of the Southeastern Michigan Honors Band European Tour, and is the conductor of the Dexter Community Band. He is active as a clinician and adjudicator, as well. Bill's understanding of the music business and his experience in education, create a unique opportunity for Marshall Music to expand its commitment to music education.

Please contact our school service department if you have any suggestions how we may best meet your educational needs or if Bill can be of service to you.
